Santa photos for your dog

Our Santa loves dogs. Every year he comes to our Portage store, just south of Kalamazoo, for a free photo day. A professional photographer takes the pictures and we email them to you afterward.

What to expect

Lots of dogs. A cat or two. Sometimes bunnies.

Your photosEveryone who comes to see Santa gets 1 to 2 professional photos emailed to them, free. This year's photographer is Jeri Kazeks of Jeri BK Photography.
Milk and cookiesTaste testing for the dogs, with goat milk and a variety of the cookies we sell in the store.

Looking for a Santa who takes dogs? This is the one.

Some Santa photo spots can't take pets, so we hold this day just for them. If your dog is part of the family, they belong in the Christmas picture too.

When is the next Santa photo day?

This year it is Sunday, December 13, 2026. Santa is here from 9:30AM to 1PM. We do it once a year, and the store is open for shopping from 9AM to 2PM that Sunday only.

Where can I get Santa photos with my dog near Kalamazoo?

Right here at Hounds and Co., 9651 Portage Road in Portage, just south of Kalamazoo. The Santa photo day is at our Portage store.

Can I bring my dog to see Santa?

Yes. This day is for pets, and dogs are the main guests.

How much does it cost?

It is free.

How do I get my photos?

A professional photographer takes the pictures. Everyone who comes to see Santa gets 1 to 2 photos emailed to them.

Can I bring my cat or another pet?

Yes. We usually see a cat or two, and sometimes bunnies.

Does my pet need to be on a leash?

Yes. All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier at all times, same as any day in the store.
